How do I qualify?
Financial Hardship patients must provide documentation that their income does not exceed 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (adjusted for household size).
What documentation do I need to qualify?
In compliance with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, NETA requires you to bring in one of the following acceptable verification documents to your next store visit to qualify.
- Official MassHealth acceptance letter dated within the last 365 days. We are not able to accept MassHealth cards as documentation.
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit verification letter for the current year from the Social Security Administration. SSDI disability does not qualify as it is not income based.
- SNAP Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) statement from the current year. We are not able to accept SNAP cards as documentation.
- Proof of income that does not exceed 300% of the Federal Poverty level adjust for household size. This may be demonstrated through one of the following documents.
- State or federal tax return from most recent year (most recent signed 1040 or W2)
- Unemployment check stubs from the last 90 days
- Pay stubs for all persons in the household for the last 90 days
- Forms from employers or welfare agencies
- Proof of all income for the last 90 days

Yes! You can stack the Financial Hardship 10% discount with the daily discount.
Do I have to be a medical patient to use the Financial Hardship discount?
Yes, the financial hardship is for medical patients only.
Can I apply my financial hardship discount to my online order?
This discount is applied at time of pick up or delivery. We are not able to apply Financial Hardship discounts online.
Do I need to reapply for the Financial Hardship discount each year?
Yes, patients will need to show documentation in store every year to stay on the financial hardship program.
