NETA Volunteers were pleased to donate their time at the Massachusetts Women Veterans’ 12th Annual Appreciation Day on Friday, November 4th.
The Massachusetts Women Veterans Appreciation Day marks 12 years of celebrating prominent women in our armed forces. The event took place in the Massachusetts State House, and honored one veteran in particular with the Deborah Sampson Award.
Alli, NETA Cares Events Coordinator, had the following to say about the occasion:
“The team effort on Friday at the Women’s Veterans Appreciation Day was a rewarding experience. Our employees’ passion to help their fellow women never ceases to amaze me. I look forward to helping make next year’s event even more successful.”
Each volunteer had her own reasons why this event was so special. Suzanne, Brookline PSA and NETA Cares volunteer, shared, “I am honored to be a part of supporting our veterans . My boyfriend is a Gulf War vet and my grandfather was a WWII vet. I know many veterans and they deserve all our appreciation. I believe that the NETA Cares program illustrates that gratitude, kindness, and empathy still exist amidst these trying times in our world today.”
NETA is honored to serve those who have served our country. As part of our NETA Cares program, we want to help show our utmost appreciation and respect for these brave men and women. On Friday November 11th, we will be offering a 50% discount on marijuana and infused product purchases to all veterans and active duty personnel, with proof of service.
