Saturday, October 6th, NETA Cares had several volunteers helping out at Kanetoberfest, benefiting Kane’s Krusade. This event gathers dogs and humans alike for dog trick and stunt trials, raffles, food, vendors, adoptable dogs and more. There is truly something for everyone at Kanetoberfest!

Kane’s Krusade helps families with dogs get access to the basic essentials that all dogs and pet owners need. This event brings awareness to the struggle that dog owners in financially tight situations can face. In some areas of Western MA, there is limited access to pet food stores, grocery stores, veterinarians, even any emergency care. Kane’s Krusade helps to bring all of those necessities to the families. Many families are elderly, without jobs, veterans, etc. The one unifying factor is that they absolutely love their dogs and cannot be without them. And who can blame them?

Shelly, NETA Cares volunteer, commented, “Kanetoberfest was an amazing event! So many vendors, donations, and pups! A great cause that was a joy to be apart of.”
