On Thursday, September 19th, several members of NETA Cares enjoyed a harvest celebration dinner to benefit the Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture. The event celebrated diversity of food and a bountiful supply almost entirely from Local Hero farms. The group joined other guests at Valley View Farm in Haydenville.
CISA’s mission is to strengthen farms and engage the community to build the local food economy. They actively encourage and call upon the resilient and diverse community in the Pioneer Valley to fulfill this mission. Through support and training farmers, to researching gaps in the local food system, CISA proves why supporting your local farmer matters and ultimately can increase access to local food.
Tanna, Benefits and Compensation Administrator, cheered, “I had such a wonderful time! The food, the people, the atmosphere, THE CAUSE were all so wonderful! I’m so happy and thankful to be part of NETA and support events like this!”
